It sums up the reasons for switching to HTML and pixel based lay out pretty well. Something I have already started to do.

I have been using pixel values for a little while now because all current browsers use page zoom. If I have a valid reason to avoid the math that it will take to do my design/layout all in ems I will. It also seems as if XHTML is not moving forward as much as HTML is.
